A convicted sex offender, Michael Edward Ray, 42 of Calhoun, was arrested this week after he lied to police about moving to an address in Rome.
Reports said that Ray told authorities that he moved to 131 Drummond Drive on April 17th, but it was later discovered that he had not done so.
Ray is charged with false statements and writings.
