William Kyle Godfrey, 23 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly hit his 42 year-old mother in the face.
Reports said that Godfrey “made physical contact with the victim’s left cheek”. They added that the woman suffered redness to her face.
The incident occurred at a home on McHenry Drive.
Godfrey is charged with simple battery.
