Two people were transported to a local hospital, which one alter airlifted to Erlanger, after a two-vehicle wreck on Alabama Highway near Lakeview Animal Clinic Tuesday.
Reports said that a Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 26 year-old male, and a sedan, driven by 23 year-old Derius Jones, collided head-on in the turn lane.
The Jeep flipped, and both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the Jeep was able to escape on his own, however, Jones required assistance.
Jones did not suffer any burns, however, he did sustain extensive lower body injuries. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
The driver of the Cherokee sustained a broken ankle.
Police are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
