Lillie Dean of Silver Creek has won a luxe prize playing a Georgia Lottery Print n Play game. Dean recently snagged $25,000 playing the “Bling Bling Bucks” instant game.

Southern Pride Food Mart, located at 3124 Rockmart Road in Rome, sold the winning ticket.

According to Dean, she was making a stop at the store with her husband when she decided to try her luck.

“I had a lucky feeling she said,” she said. “I just wanted to get some tickets.”

After purchasing two Print n Play games and discovering that one was a winner, Dean said that she was in disbelief.

“I called my husband over to help me count,” she said. “I just needed to validate that I had won.”

The 46-year-old certified nursing assistant said that she plans to use her winnings to pay some bills.

“I was so happy,” she said.

Dean claimed her prize last week at the Georgia Lottery’s Dalton District Office.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $18.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
