A 22 year-old homeless Rome man, Stephen Kyle Ingram, was arrested at the East Rome Wal-Mart this week after allegedly stalking a woman at her home on North Terrace Avenue.

Reports said that Ingram showed up at the woman’s house without consent after their relationship ended.  The victim said that Ingram jumped into her truck and refused to get out.  She then said that she proceeded to drive to Wal-Mart, where she is employed, and attempted to call 911 for help.

She then said that that Ingram grabbed the telephone and refused to return it.

The victim then stated that she drove to another person and asked them to call 911 for help, but while driving Ingram allegedly began to hit the back glass of the truck as he was in the bed.

The victim also told police that she was pregnant with his child.

Police stated that while placing Ingram under arrest he attempted to get away from three officers.  While on the ground, police said, Ingram then proceeded to attempt to kick them. Once inside the jail, police said that they located a bag of suspected meth and a digital scale on him.

Ingram is charged with stalking, simple assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing a person making a 911 call, three counts of obstruction of an officer, possession of meth and possession of drug related objects.
