Timothy Rayshaun Searcy, 29 of Rome, was arrested on Thursday after he was accused of hitting his girlfriend with a closed fist numerous times.
Reports stated that the attack occurred in the presence of children in a home on Wilson Avenue, and occurred back on June 30th of this year. Authorities went on to say that Searcy also threatened to pour his beer on the victim.
Police stated that when they spotted Searcy on Wednesday he refused to stop for them after initiating their lights.
Searcy is charged with battery, cruelty to children, simple assault, and obstruction of law enforcement, failure to yield and driving on a suspended license.
