Marcus Briones Garrett, 29 of Rome, was arrested on Wednesday after he was accused of kicking down the door to a home located at 679 Old Summerville Road.
Reports said that the action occurred during a verbal argument with an 81 year-old woman.
Garrett is charged with criminal trespass.
