Mr. Phelan LeVance Kasonovitch, age 70, of Acworth, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at a Marietta hospital.
He was born in Floyd County on November 4, 1946, son of the late Pete Kasonovitch and the late Maude Roush Kasonovitch. He was a graduate of East Rome High School and was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Christian and was a member of the I. B. E. W. Local #613 and worked as an electrician.
Survivors include two sons, Philip Kasonovitch of Kennesaw, and Peter Kasonovitch of Cave Spring; a granddaughter, Ashley Kasonovitch of Cave Spring; the mothers of his children, Shirley Rogers of Cave Spring and Jill Kasonovitch of Ellijay.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery with the American Legion Post # 5 Honor Guard presenting full military honors.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Tuesday from 6 until 8pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at each of their respective residences.
Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, at 10:30am on Wednesday and include: Ed Hicks, Chris Hicks, Russell Scholes, Charles Hulsey, Chris McCrory, and Joe Jeffords.
