A homeless 37 year-old Rome man, Jimmy Dale Maynard, was arrested at the Cottis Inn on Thursday on numerous felony charges.
Reports stated that Maynard prevented a 30 year-old woman, in which had a protective order against him, from leaving the hotel room being choking her with his hands. Reports went on to read that the victim had suffered numerous visible injuries.
Police said that Maynard had to be physically forced into the patrol vehicle during his arrest.
Maynard is charged with aggravated stalking, aggravated assault, battery, false imprisonment and obstruction of law enforcement.
