Rome police are still searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend on East Main Street.  Reports said that Frederick Duane Driver, 49, allegedly shot Randy Lamont Diamond late Saturday night.

Reports said that Diamond was shot in the doorway of a duplex just before 11 pm following a verbal argument between the men that had occurred earlier in the day.

Police said that they are still unsure what the argument was over.  They did say that the homicide was not gang related nor was connected in last week’s double shooting in South Rome.

Driver is wanted for murder.
