Mr. Enis Odell Brumbelow, age 91, of Aragon, formerly of Lindale, passed away on Monday morning, June 5, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Brumbelow was born in Aragon, Georgia on February 18, 1926, son of the late Charles Franklin Brumbelow and the late Frances Yarbrough Brumbelow. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vassie Moore Brumbelow, on June 8, 2010, by five brothers, Chaney Brumbelow, Wilson Brumbelow, Jessie “Jim” Brumbelow, Clyde Brumbelow and Curtis Brumbelow, and by two sisters, Rovenia Agan and Opal Kent. Mr. Brumbelow was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II in the infantry. He worked for West Point Pepperell Manufacturing for 42 years where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church and the McClain-Sealock Post 136 of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, Jim Brumbelow and his wife, Pam, Aragon; a granddaughter, Mary Beth Woodall and her husband, Chris, Cumming; two great granddaughters, Emma Woodall and Hannah Woodall; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Conway and the Rev. Don Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard presenting military honors.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 5 until 7pm. At other hours, they will be at their respective residences.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 10:30am and include: Active: Edgar Brumbelow, Wayne Brumbelow, Houston Brumbelow, Ricky Brumbelow, Steve Collum and Darryl Collum. Honorary: Rance Jones, Greg Brown, Franklin Brumbelow, Billy Brumbelow, Alfred Brumbelow, Ricky Bradley and Chandler Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McClain-Sealock Post 136 of the American Legion, P. O. Box 56, Lindale, GA 30147.
