John Ira Hartson, 39 of Lagrange, was arrested in Rome Thursday after he placed a false complaint to 911.

Reports said that Hartson called 911 back on June 7th stating that a woman needed emergency medical assistance.

However, investigators determined that the victim was not in need of assistance and that Hartson had been previously harassing her though electronic communication.

Hartson was located Thursday at the CVS on Maple Street. While being taken into custody he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Hartson is charged with unlawful conduct during a 911 call and possession of methamphetamine.
