An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is now facing additional charges.  John Earl McConnell, 23 of Rome, was charged this week with numerous counts of breaking into a car and stealing bank cards.

Reports said that McConnell allegedly entered a Nissan Xterra on Lookout Circle three different occasions between January 20th and February 9th of this year and took a bank card before using it numerous times.

Then between March 28th and April 18th he is accused of breaking into a Chevrolet Colorado on Lookout Circle and taking bank cards before using it numerous times.

Again, on April 19th, McConnell allegedly broke into a Mercury Mountianeer on the same road and took a a bank card before using that one as well.

McConell is charged with six counts of entering an auto and six counts of financial transaction card fraud.

Reports stated that McConnell the cards from numerous locations from April 4th until April 10th of this year.

McConnell is charged with two counts of entering an automobile, two counts of theft by taking and financial transaction card fraud.

He is additionally charged with contempt of superior court, and two counts of probation violation.
