Tyrance Jamarr Diamond, 18 of Rome, was in jail over the weekend after he allegedly burglarized a home on Forsyth Street just after 3 am on Friday.
Reports added that while being taken into custody Diamond attempted to flee on foot.
Diamond is charged with burglary and obstruction of law enforcement.
