Mr. Austin Lance Dockery, age 21, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at his residence.
Austin was born in Bartow County, GA on October 27, 1995. He is the son of Allison Lee Dockery and Christopher Lance Dockery. Austin was a 2014 graduate of Model High School. He was a Senior Superlative, Friendliest, and was a manager for the football team. Austin was a volunteer at the Hospitality House Thrift Store and was also a volunteer at Floyd Medical Center in Central Supply.
Survivors include his parents, Allison and Chris Dockery; his father, Chuck Haney, Adairsville; 3 sisters, Shelby Dockery, Kingston, Desire’ Dockery, Kingston, and Kristina Broyles, and her husband, Clay, Rainsville, AL; 2 brothers, Charles Lee Haney, Adairsville, and Asa Dockery, Austin, TX; a nephew, Clayton Dockery, Kingston; aunts, an uncle, and many cousins, including a special cousin, Brittany Smith, also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Craig Bagwell officiating. Interment will follow in Amazing Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 5 until 7pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday at 10:30am and include: Brett Williamson, Asa Dockery, Eric Lemons, Clay Broyles, Tyler Hudgins, Kevin Barnes, Fischer Lloyd, and Isaiah Bagwell.
