Authorities identified the man hit and killed by a train in north Rome as 49 year-old Dale R. Frix.  Reports said that Frix was attempting to get off the tracks before the train, which was traveling over 30 miles per hour, collided with him.

Frix was struck at the tracks near North Broad and Callahan Street around 10 pm Monday.

 

Reports stated that the man was found unresponsive nearly 75 yards south of Callahan Street..
