Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle accident on County Road 48 in Cherokee County on Sunday morning, with reports indicating that one person was airlifted from the scene to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment while another was carried by ground transport to a hospital in Ft Payne for treatment.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the crash took place at approximately 11:30am and involved a 2001 Ford driven by 32 year old Rhonda Herren – a passenger in the vehicle was identified as 38 year old Daniel Herren.
Both were listed as being residents of Henagar in DeKalb County.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
