The Woman of WORTH clinic announced that they will give free birth control pills, emergency contraception, condoms and Depo-Provera injections without charge for either the medication or the office visit during March.
The clinic will also assist women in signign up for a Medicaid program called Planning for Healthy Babies. The program allows women free access to long-term methods of birth control such as the implant or intrauterine devices that last from three to 12 years. It also provides free women’s health examinations such as Pap smears and STD screening.
Birth control pills are taken daily and the injection is given every three months.
The clinic is located at 1513 Dean Avenue. You can make appointments by calling 706-232-3408 or come to the clinic without an appointment between the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays or Fridays or from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
