The Chargers started the game with a 6-0 run and never looked back as GHC wins its 3rd straight NJCAA Region XVII Championship and automatic bid to the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas with a 99-80 win over South Georgia tech.

GHC continued its balanced scoring attack with 4 players in double – digits and every player on the team scored. The Chargers continued their high pressure defensive style forcing 20 turnovers . GHC was led by GCAA Player of the Year Kyvon Davenport with 27 points and 13 rebounds. “Kyvon was spectacular tonight and our kids came out ready to play and our home crowd was great for the second night in a row, they are a huge part of our success”. “I can’t say enough about our faculty, staff, and students, who have supported us all year.  Ty’lik Evans had 19 points, and Antonio Wade and Kamar McKnight each had 14 points.

The Chargers  (32-1) now head to Kansas for their third straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance. GHC will find out their seed and opponent on Monday afternoon.
