The Floyd County Health Department, 16 East 12th Street, will conduct a two-week Pre-K Health Roundup, during regular hours, Monday, March 13, through Friday, March 24, to provide required hearing, vision and dental examinations as well as required immunizations for kids entering Pre-K and kindergarten next fall. This is a convenient opportunity for parents to get these requirements out of the way six months before school begins.
Health department hours are Monday through Wednesday 8 am to 11:30 am and 1 pm to 4:30 pm; Thursday 8 am to 11:30 am and 1 pm to 6 pm and Friday 8 am to 1:30 pm noon. No appointments are necessary.
The health department accepts Medicaid, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Cigna, Aetna, United Health State Health Benefit Plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia and cash. Clients may call the health department at 706-295-6123 for pricing information.
