Perry Lamar Hames, 57 of Rockmart, was arrested on Tuesday after he was charged with helping traffic cocaine.

Reports stated that between July 12, 2016 and September 28, 2016 Hames conspired with a co-defendant to possesses and traffic a quantity of cocaine within Floyd County and surrounding areas when he communicated with the co-defendant Felix Guzman via electronic communication devices.

Hames is charged with conspiracy to violate Georgia controlled substance act and the use of communication facility in the commission of a felony involving controlled substances.

Felix Moreno Guzman, 41 of Rome, Steven Allen Jones, 59 of Rome and Edwin Menchu Escobedo, 47 of Silver Creek, were arrested after police found methamphetamine and a gun during the execution of a search warrant at Escobedo’s home on Ellis Road in Silver Creek.

Reports stated that officers found 28 grams of meth during the search. They were also able to locate a firearm, drug scales and a glass smoking pipe.

All three are charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking meth, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of tools for a commission of a crime.
