Cedartown Police Chief and Drug Task Force Spokesman Jamie Newsome said this week that  six individuals were arrested this week following the execution of a search warrant  at 420 Pace Street in Cedartown.

Reports stated that marijuana and cocaine were seized, along with $2,600 in US currency.

Police arrested Mario Hall, 29; Labrent Walker, 30; Zeric Walker, 26; Robert Mckee Jr., 32 and John Woodall, 34. All were charged with possession of marijuana (less than one ounce), possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent, and abandonment of dangerous drugs.

Laesha Moore, 37, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana (less than one ounce), possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent, abandonment of dangerous drugs and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

“Members of the Drug Task Force continue to work together, focused on the goal of making Polk County and its cities a safer place for law-abiding citizens,” said Newsome. “This is another example of that teamwork and commitment.”
