Rome Police are investigating a recent armed robbery at the Jazz Food Mart on Calhoun Avenue.  Reports said that the store clerk reported that an armed black man came into the store and demanded money before firing off a shot at the ground.

Officers said that during the investigation they located a .45 caliber shell casing, as well as a bullet hole in the floor on the cashier side the counter.

The suspect is described as 5’9” to 5’10”, slender, dark skin with short dreads with orange tips.  The clerk said that the man was wearing a mask, but believed him to be a regular in the store. She reported to police that the suspect has facial tattoos .

She also told police that the man she believed to be the suspect had previously “exposed his penis” to her on June 16th of this year.
