Melva Lee Louis, 63 of Rome, has been indicted for stealing Christmas gifts out of cars last November. Reports said that Louis was arrested earlier and charged with entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft and theft by receiving stolen property.
Authorities said that she stole numerous gifts from cars parked at the West Rome Wal-Mart November 27th.
Dakota Thompson, 21 of Rome, was also indicted for statutory rape.
Reports said that Thompson was arrested on April 27th at Grizzard Park for having sex with a 15 year-old girl.
Reports said that police found a used condom in the back on Thompson’s van at the scene.
He is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
