Kelly Brian Cordell, 45 of Rome, was arrested on drug and traffic charges after allegedly leaving his car in a ditch. Reports said that Cordell crashed into two mailboxes and a culvert before leaving his car on the side of the road.
Reports added that police found the car at the intersection of Wayside and Potts Road. Inside the vehicle was a hydrocodone pill, which was located in the center console.
Cordell is charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor drugs not in the original container, failure to maintain lane and duty upon striking a fixture.
