The driver of a tractor-trailer, Brian Alvin Benson, 36 of Missouri, has been charged with running a red red-light ant crashing into a small car. Reports said that the incident occurred Thursday on U.S 411 coming into Rome.
Reports added that after the truck struck the car it crossed the median and struck a box truck that was going in the opposite direction as it was stopped at the red-light.
Two women in car were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
Benson was cited with a traffic signal violation.
