Larry Don Pruitt Jr, 35 of East Point, Georgia, was arrested this week by Floyd County Police said they spotted him laying drag on Spruce Street. Officers said that when they attempted to pull him over he attempted to speed away. After finally pulling over he allegedly fled on foot on Pecan Street. Police added that Pruitt left his truck in gear, which caused it to strike a residence.
After the foot chase Pruitt was finally apprehended when he was spotted laying in a yard.
Reports went on to say that while making the arrest officers noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his breath.
He is charged with DUI, obstruction of law enforcement, improper lane change, failure to maintain lane, eluding a police officer, laying drag, hit and run, failure to maintain a lane and duty to report an accident.
