Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol arrested two men for drug trafficking on Hardy Avenue Wednesday. Theo Corderral Davis, 28 of Rome, and Nakotah Javez Smith, 31 of Rome, were pulled over after an alleged improper lane change. Reports said that during the stop troopers found a large quantity of methamphetamine, scales, a gun and an open container of alcohol.

The driver of the car, Davis, was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug related objects, possession of methamphetamine, drug trafficking, improper lane change, an open container and driving on a suspended license.

Smith, a passenger in the car, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, drug trafficking, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime and possession of drug related objects.
