The Polk County Drug Task Force continues to strive to combat the drug issues that face our Cities and County. The Task Force is comprised of deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Polk County, Cedartown, and Rockmart Police Departments. In the last two weeks the task force has made the following arrests:
1.) Assisted Rockmart PD: Charged James Edward Hendrix with Trafficking Methamphetamine along with Rockmart PD’s additional charges;
2.) Arrested Andrea Nichole Cheatwood and charged her with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Objects;
3.) Arrested Jason Hale Tomlin and charged him with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drugs Across the Guard Line;
4.) Arrested Brian Alexander Jones for a Failure to Appear Warrant through Superior Court in Polk County;
5.) Arrested Ryan Anthony Brooks for a Failure to Appear Warrant through Superior Court in Paulding County
The aforementioned cases are those that have been initiated and closed within the last two weeks. Many more cases are under current investigation and cannot be disclosed at this time.
