Floyd County Police arrested Shawn Nevin Dempsey, 51 of Rome, for pointing a gun at numerous people inside a business at 3680 Martha Berry Highway. Reports said that Dempsey, a passenger in a vehicle, allegedly pointed a gun at the people inside the business.
Dempsey is charged with three felony counts of terroristic threats and acts, felony possession of a weapon during commission of a crime and three misdemeanor counts each of pointing a pistol at another and simple assault.
He is additionally charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct.
