A Bartow County man, Jesse Daniel Johnson, 21, pleaded guilty this week to involuntary manslaughter. Reports said that Johnson accidently shot and killed 20 year-old Keypher Logan Kelly last November. Reports aid that the two men were drinking alcohol with others when Johnson started to clean a gun. Reports went on to say that the gun accidently fired, resulting in Kelly being shot.
Johnson was sentenced to 10 years, with 12 months to serve. He will spend the rest of the time on probation. He was also ordered to pay $1,200 in restitution and is no longer allowed to possess firearms.
