Jury Says Not Guilty in Rome Robbery Case

A Floyd County Jury found 23 year-old Ramad Ashad Chatman, of Rome, not guilty of robbing the Lucky Lotto Store on Shorter Avenue this week.

Chatman was accused of taking store merchandise from the store on July 9, 2015

A 23-year old Rome man, Ramad Ashad Chatman, turned himself in (November 2015) to the Floyd County Jail Wednesday in connection with the armed robbery of a store back in the summer. Reports said that Chatman allegedly walked into the Lucky Lotto on Shorter Avenue, pointed a gun at an employee and robbed the business.

Chatman is charged with armed robbery and a probation violation.
